Premium bus services riding high

EVERY day, some 5,000 commuters thank their lucky stars for the premium bus services which take them between work and home with a minimum fuss.

For about a dollar more per trip than if they were to go on regular buses and trains, they get a comfortable seat on a smaller vehicle, endure fewer stops and do not need to transfer from one mode of transport to another.

S'porean sues Bausch & Lomb

A SINGAPOREAN whose left eye was injured after using an allegedly defective eye-care product from the United States has sued the company, Bausch & Lomb, in the US for damages.

But the New York-based firm wants the case to be heard in Singapore instead.
