MEASURES to help businesses and individuals cope with the current economic downturn can be expected soon, said the Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr George Yeo.

Speaking at the North East CDC district meeting on Saturday, he said that while some of these announcements will come through the Budget in February, the matter is urgent enough for some policies to come earlier, in the coming days or weeks.

 
Investors rally for 5th week

AT THE fifth investor rally at Hong Lim Park on Saturday, anger and complaints of the 700-strong crowd shifted from the financial institutions to the Government and financial industry regulators.

Agitated investors questioned why there is still no word from the Government about investigating the investment products sold by several banks and financial institutions here.
