NEW YORK - US STOCKS stumbled on Wednesday as cautious investors locked profits after hefty gains in the last four sessions and as new data underscored a weak job market in the recession-battered economy.

WASHINGTON - FEDERAL Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke said on Wednesday the United States needs to begin efforts to restore 'fiscal balance' after huge deficit spending to combat the economic crisis.

AIG agrees to sell 2 buildings

CHARLOTTE (North Carolina) - THE embattled insurer American International Group Inc. is selling its headquarters building in New York and a nearby building in a deal expected to close at the end of this summer, a person familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
