WASHINGTON - GENERAL Motors, fresh from filing for bankruptcy protection, reached a deal to sell its Hummer brand to a Chinese industrial machinery firm, Sichuan Tengzhong, the companies announced Tuesday.

GM sales down 30% in May

DETROIT - A DAY after filing for bankruptcy protection, automaker General Motors says its US sales in May fell 30 per cent from a year ago but were 11 per cent better than in April.
