LONDON - CAR maker Jaguar, an iconic British brand owned by Indian group Tata Motors, said on Monday it had stopped production at a central England car factory in response to tumbling demand.

 
Japan carriers cut China flights

TOKYO - JAPAN'S two biggest airlines on Monday announced reductions in their number of flights to China, blaming weakening demand amid the global economic slowdown.

All Nippon Airways Co said it would halt regular flights between Kansai International Airport, the gateway to the western Japanese city of Osaka, and the northern Chinese city of Dalian.

M'sia's Tenaga reports loss

KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIA'S state-controlled power firm Tenaga Nasional on Monday reported a fiscal first quarter loss due to lower electricity sales and a weaker local currency.

Philippines economy to grow 3%
