LONDON - THE British government said on Saturday that it is discussing how to help car manufacturers cope with falling sales and funding problems.

The Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform said on Saturday that Business Secretary Peter Mandelson and Business Minister Ian Pearson met representatives from the automotive industry to talk about how the sector could access funding.
