MJ fans ready for 'This Is It'

LOS ANGELES - MICHAEL Jackson fans will get a tantalising glimpse of what might have been on Tuesday as the movie charting the tragic singer's final concert rehearsals makes its long-awaited premiere.

More than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage for Jackson's aborted comeback have been distilled into a two-hour film being hyped by organizers as the last ever performance by the King of Pop. Jackson family members and stars are expected to descend on a red carpet at Los Angeles's Nokia Theater, one of more than 15 simultaneous premieres being held in across five continents.

Singer Morrissey hospitalised

LONDON - BRITISH singer Morrissey was rushed to hospital after collapsing on stage on Saturday with breathing problems, emergency services said.

The 50-year-old former frontman of 1980s pop band The Smiths fell ill while performing at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, southwest England.

Last Titanic survivor scattered

LONDON - FRIENDS and relatives of the last survivor of the Titanic gathered on Saturday to scatter her ashes at the point where the ill-starred ocean liner set sail in April 1912.

Elizabeth Gladys Dean - who died on May 31, aged 97 - was only nine weeks old when the 'unsinkable' liner hit an iceberg on its maiden transatlantic voyage, drowning 1,517 of its passengers and crew.
