Da Vinci Code sequel in Sept

NEW YORK - AUTHOR Dan Brown's follow-up to his global hit 'The Da Vinci Code' will be released in the United States, Britain and Canada on Sept 15 and is titled 'The Lost Symbol,' publisher Random House said on Monday.

'The Da Vinci Code' has sold more than 70 million copies since its 2003 release and topped best-seller lists worldwide, outraging the Vatican and some Catholics because of the fictional story lines about conspiracy and the Catholic Church.

Madonna's appeal to be heard

BLANTYRE (Malawi)- The Malawi Supreme Court will next month hear an appeal by US pop diva Madonna over the star's failed bid to adopt a second child, a court official said Monday.

High court registrar Joseph Chigona said three judges in Blantyre will hear the appeal filed earlier this month after a court turned down Madonna's request to adopt a three-year-old girl.
