NEW ORLEANS - LITTLE Richard and Chuck Berry are dusting off the songbook of a New Orleans legend to raise money for the city's parks and schools.

They're part of a May 30 concert, called 'The Domino Effect' because they'll be performing songs popularised by New Orleans native and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist Fats Domino.

 
Topshop opens in US

NEW YORK - FOR months, young fashionistas have been feverish over the opening of an outpost of successful British fast-fashion retailer Topshop in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood on Thursday.

The newest participant in the invasion of affordable chains such as Zara, Mango and H&M, Topshop has won raves for its cheap-chic clothes.

Eriksson's future on the line

MEXICO CITY - MEXICAN football directors will discuss coach Sven-Goran Eriksson's future on Friday after Wednesday's embarrassing 3-1 defeat in Honduras in a World Cup qualifier.

'He's waiting for the decision we will take at a meeting we will have with the members of the National Teams committee,' Mexican Football Federation (FMF) director Nestor de la Torre told a news conference on Thursday.

Father 'happy' with Madonna

LILONGWE (Malawi) - THE Malawian biological father of Madonna's first adopted child said on Thursday he was happy at the star's plans to adopt again from the country.

'I am very very happy Madonna is going to adopt a sister called Mercy to David,' Mr Yohane Banda said.
