WASHINGTON - EMMY award winner Tom Selleck visited the National Mall in Washington on Thursday to launch new exhibits for a traveling museum honouring Vietnam veterans.

The 64-year-old actor joined members of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund as they unveiled exhibits for The Wall That Heals, a 14-meter aluminum trailer that travels across the country to people who may not have the opportunity to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington.

 
David Caruso stalker arrested

VIENNA - AN AUSTRIAN woman accused of stalking 'CSI: Miami' star David Caruso is in custody after she was arrested in Mexico and deported back to her homeland, officials said on Thursday.

The woman allegedly sent more than 100 letters to the American actor, pursued him for an autograph and then sent death threats when he refused to give her one, according to prosecutors in the Austrian province of Tyrol.

UK may allow abortion ads

LONDON - ORGANISATIONS that provide abortion advice and referrals could run TV and radio ads in Britain for the first time under proposed changes to the nation's advertising codes.

Committees charged with writing Britain's advertising rules announced the proposal on Thursday.

Art gallery 'stole' $133 million

NEW YORK - AUTHORITIES are accusing the owner of a New York City art gallery of stealing US$88 million (S$133 million) from investors, art owners and a bank.

One of the alleged victims is tennis great John McEnroe.
