BIRMINGHAM (Alabama) - THE actor best known as 'Borat' tricked the Alabama National Guard into allowing him onto a post, giving him a military uniform and briefly letting him train - all, supposedly, for a German TV documentary.

The ruse, which included comedian Sacha Baron Cohen exposing his thong underwear while changing clothes, was going well until a young cadet recognized Cohen and notified older officers who weren't familiar with the actor.

LOS ANGELES) - POLICE say Anna Nicole Smith's psychiatrist has surrendered to face charges of excessively prescribing drugs to the former model before her overdose death in 2007.

Police spokeswoman Rosario Herrera says Khristine Eroshevich turned herself in on Monday.

Obama on the 'Tonight Show'

WASHINGTON - THE White House says President Barack Obama will appear this week on Jay Leno's television talk show, perhaps adding a lighter touch to his bid to resuscitate the moribund US economy.

Obama will visit 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' during his trip to Los Angeles on Thursday.
