HONG KONG - ONE of the top stars caught in a celebrity sex photo scandal that shocked the Chinese-speaking world last year launched her comeback on Tuesday, trying to salvage a career badly damaged by images of her performing sex acts with an actor.

In her first endorsement deal since the scandal, Gillian Chung of the Hong Kong female pop duo Twins attended a press conference on Tuesday to promote a jeans brand.

 
Cussler to pay $21m lawyer fees

LOS ANGELES - AMERICAN novelist Clive Cussler has been ordered to pay nearly US$14 million (S$21.5 million) in legal fees to a film production company, justice officials said on Tuesday.

Potter book sells for $19,000

DALLAS - A DALLAS auction house says a softcover copy of the first Harry Potter book sold for just over $19,000 said reports on Tuesday.

The winning bidder was a vintage comic book collector from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. His wife is a fan of the Harry Potter series.
