SALT LAKE CITY - A UTAH woman listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for her long fingernails has lost them in a car crash.

Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident on Tuesday, the Deseret News reported.

 
Food of tomorrow

TOKYO - SPANISH chef Ferran Adria, the father of so-called molecular gastronomy, has always been ahead of his time and this week he was the undisputed star of the Tokyo Taste 'world summit of gastronomy'.

Around 20 of the world's top chefs converged on the Japanese capital for the summit, organised by the Hattori culinary school, which drew massive crowds of Japanese foodies.

Jackie to donate houses

HONG Kong action star Jackie Chan is donating antique wooden houses from China worth more than $100 million to Singapore's upcoming fourth university.

The structures, now sitting in a warehouse in Hong Kong, are from the private collection of gongfu king Chan, a lover of Chinese history.

Smith tops Forbes star list

NEW YORK - WILL Smith was voted the most bankable star in Hollywood in a survey of industry professionals by Forbes.com.

The financial magazine's website gives the actor a score of 10 out of 10 for his bankability in its first 'star currency' list, compiled by surveying more than 150 industry professionals.
