NANJING- MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew on Sunday urged Jiangsu provincial leaders to build a long-term relationship with their young Singapore counterparts.

'Our relationship is not just to last a year or two. It is for decades,' he told Jiangsu party boss Liang Baohua on Sunday in Mandarin.

 
Bar workers rally against ban

HONG KONG - HUNDREDS of restaurant and bar workers took to the streets here on Sunday to protest against a blanket smoking ban due to be implemented in July, saying it would put many of them out of business.

HK confirms 7th flu case

HONG KONG - HONG Kong officials on Sunday confirmed a new case of swine flu, raising the city's total number of infections to seven.

The new patient, a 21-year-old student, arrived from the United States via South Korea on Friday night and was being treated in hospital, a spokesman for the Department of Health said.
