US navy vessel harassed

WASHINGTON - THE Defence Departmenrt says Chinese ships shadowed and manoeuvred dangerously close to a US Navy vessel in what appeared an effort to harass the American crew.

Surviving gunman remanded

MUMBAI - THE sole surviving gunman captured during the Mumbai attacks on Monday appeared before an Indian court via videolink and was remanded in custody for a further two weeks, the chief prosecutor said.
