China blocks bacteria-tainted milk

BEIJING - CHINA blocked 9.62 tonnes of bacteria-tainted milk powder and formula from Taiwan and Australia from entering the domestic market, the country's quality supervision watchdog and state media said on Monday.

India signs inspections deal

VIENNA - INDIA signed an inspections agreement with the UN atomic watchdog on Monday as part of a deal lifting a 34-year-old embargo on nuclear trade with New Delhi, the International Atomic Energy Agency said.
