Latest MOH data shows that 13 per cent of patients with influenza-like illness in Singapore are Influenza A (H1N1) positive.

KEY DEVELOPMENTS

Experts tracking the (A)H1N1 virus spread report that:

  • patients with a body mass index greater that 40 are harder to treat and can be fatal.
  • The WHO is gathering statistics to confirm and understand this development.

Virus sometimes more severe:

  • First person in Britain without underlying health problems died from (A)H1N1.

From Saturday, July 11, 2009:

  • Temperature screening at Singapore's border checkpoints will cease.
