GENEVA - THE World Health Organization says it has been notified of Russia's first confirmed case of swine flu.
WHO's daily updates on the disease provide only the number of new cases and where they occurred.
But media in Russia said on Friday that a Russian citizen travelling from New York was admitted to a clinic after showing flu symptoms.
WHO's global tally now stands at 12,022 cases and 86 deaths in 42 countries.
More than half of those cases have been reported in the United States, while most of the deaths occurred in Mexico. -- AP
