HELSINKI - FINLAND has two confirmed cases of H1N1 flu, a health official said on Tuesday, the first the Nordic nation has recorded.
'There are 2 confirmed cases,' said Juhani Eskola, deputy director general at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
He did not give any further details. A THL spokesman said more information would be given at a news conference at 0700 GMT (3pm Singapore time).

World Health Organisation (WHO) laboratories have confirmed 4,379 infections with the new strain of H1N1 flu, popularly known as swine flu, which the United Nations agency said on Monday has killed at least 49 people. -- REUTERS
