BAGHDAD - A SPATE of Monday morning rush hour bomb blasts in Baghdad killed at least five people and injured 14, an interior ministry official said.
Three civilians were killed and 10 wounded in a roadside bomb attack that was immediately followed by a car bomb blast in the Jadidah, a vast eastern neighbourhood of the Iraqi capital, the official told AFP.
In Baghdad's central commercial district of Karrada a roadside bomb killed one person and injured three, he said.
Meanwhile, in north Baghdad, one civilian was killed and another was wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near a police checkpoint. -- AFP
