SYDNEY - OFFICIALS say a 3-year-old girl has been killed in an attack by four dogs that also left a toddler and a woman injured.
State police say the children had been visiting a neighbour's home Wednesday in Whitton, a small town in southern New South Wales, when the four mixed-breed dogs attacked.
It was not clear who owned the dogs or why they attacked.
Paramedics were called to the house but the 3-year-old died at the scene.
An 18-month-old girl was hospitalised with serious but non-life threatening injuries to her face and body, and an adult woman was in stable condition with minor injuries.
Police said they have seized the dogs and will seek to have them destroyed. -- AP
