Ferry passengers evacuated
OSLO (Norway) - COMPANY officials say all 153 passengers have been safely evicted from the Norwegian passenger ferry Richard With, which ran aground near its dock.

Officials say no one was injured in Tuesday's incident.

Mr Stein Lillebo, a spokesman for Hurtigruten ASA, the ship's owner, says the 121.8 metre, 490-berth coastal cruiser was docking in strong winds at the central Norway city of Trondheim when it was caught by a gust. He says ship's propellor hit rocks and caused a leak.

The ship stopped about 8 metres from its berth.

Firefighters used ladders as bridges to bring passengers to land.

Norwegian news photographs showed passengers of all ages crawling along the ladders with the help of rescuers. -- AP
