CAIRO - AN INFLUENTIAL Islamic group has demanded the removal of an online video game depicting religious figures such as the Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ fighting each other, saying it is offensive to Muslims and Christians.
The Saudi-based Organization of the Islamic Conference, which represents most Muslim nations, called the game 'incendiary in its content' and said Tuesday its makers should take it off the Internet.
Players of the game can fight each other with Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, God and the Hindu god Ganesh.
The Italy-based Molleindustria, which made the game, posted a message on their website on Monday saying the game has been around for more than an a year and no religious organization had complained about it previously. -- AP
