Quah wins S'pore's 4th gold

QUAH Ting Wen delivered Singapore's fourth gold medal of the Asian Youth Games when she won the girls' 200m freestyle in 1min 59.21sec.

The time was also a new national record, bettering her own time of 2:0.14sec.

Korea's Kim Junghye was second (1:59.93) while her teammate Kim Seoyeong (2:01.92) was third.

Adding to Singapore's medal tally were swimmers Roanne Ho and Lionel Khoo, who both won bronzes in the 50m breaststroke event. Rainer Ng also took a bronze in the 100m backstroke competition.

Runner Shahrir Mohd Anuar came in third in the boys 100m final, wrapping up Singapore's current medal tally of four golds and nine bronzes.
