KOREAN Lee Sunae claimed the title of Asia's fastest girl when she stormed to the girl's 100m gold in 12.16sec at the Asian Youth Games on Friday.
She missed her aim of 11.9 seconds, but was still a commendable 0.2 seconds faster than her nearest rival, Kimura Akane from Japan.
Japan's Nashimoto Masaki clocked 10.82sec to clinch the gold medal in the boys' 100m final.
He was the only athlete under 11 seconds, bettering his heat timing of 10.89s.
Singaporean Shahrir Mohd Anuar came in third in 11.13sec, a timing slower than his personal best of 10.90sec which he recorded at the National Inter-School Track and Field Championships this year.
