New Congressional record, 62
BETHESDA (Maryland) - ANTHONY Kim has set the course record at Congressional with an 8-under 62, giving the defending champion a two-shot lead in the AT&T National.

Kim has not won since he shot 65 in the final round last year at this tournament.

He said on Thursday he had something to prove, and it showed.

He had six birdies in an eight-hole span and a 10-foot birdie on his final hole, the par-5 ninth, that lipped out.

Kim led by two strokes over DA Points among early starters.

Tournament host Tiger Woods plays in the afternoon. -- AP
