China's Wu gets 1st AYG gold

THE first gold medal of the Asian Youth Games went to China's Wu Dongliang in the 3-metre Springboard event.

The 16-year-old posted a score of 626.60, well ahead of second-place Kuwaiti Alharbi Rashed's total of 474.95. South Korean Sung In Cho claimed the bronze with a score of 474.05.

The diving competition concludes on Wednesday at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex with the finals of the Girls' 3m Springboard and Boys' 5m/10m Platform.
