Darren tops on Day One

IT WAS a perfect start for Singapore sailor Darren Choy, 15, as he claimed three first-place finishes on Tuesday at the Asian Youth Games.

The Byte CII sailor was in inspired form at East Coast Park, winning the first race by an amazing 10 boat lengths.

He currently sits atop the boys ranking after three races.

A total of 12 races will be held at the National Sailing Centre until next Monday, with a rest day on Friday.
