PYEONGCHANG (South Korea) - NORWAY'S Ole Einar Bjoerndalen wrote himself into the record books on Sunday with the 12th World Championship title of his career when he took gold in the men's pursuit.
Having won the sprint competition on Saturday, the 35-year-old also dominated the pursuit competition with the fastest time over the 12.5km course.
Despite four penalties, Bjoerndalen recorded a winning time of 26mins 35.8seconds with Russia's Maxim Tchoudov second 45.4secs behind him.
Norway's Alexander Os took third, 54.5secs behind the winner, meaning Norwegian men have won five of the six possible medals here on the second day of competition. -- AFP
