SINGAPORE beat Myanmar 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup in Jakarta on Sunday night.
But the match was marred by Myanmar goalkeeper Aung Aung Oo's pushing of referee Phung Dinh Dung.
The goalie had been incensed by Phung's awarding of a controversial goal to Singapore in the 74th minute.
The referee had allowed a quickly-taken free kick after midfielder Shi Jiayi was fouled. Noh Alam Shah found John Wilkinson with his kick and the England-born Lion crossed for Agu Casmir to tap in while the Myanmar players were still trying to re-organise.
The angry Myanmar players, led by Aung, confronted the referee and refused to play on, disrupting the match for eight minutes.
