THE Speaker of Parliament, Mr Abdullah Tarmugi, who is currently leading a Singapore Parliamentary delegation to Bahrain, met over 100 Singaporeans at a gathering at the Gulf Hotel.

Over dinner, he and his delegation had a lively interaction with the overseas Singaporeans. The event gave them an opportunity to connect not only with other fellow Singaporeans in the region but also with their MPs to get updates on developments back home.

Earlier, Mr Tarmugi met the Prime Minister of Bahrain, chairman of the council of representatives and the chairman of the Shura Council.

The Singapore delegation includes Singapore Ambassador to Riyadh Wong Kwok Pun, Deputy Speaker Matthias Yao, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Teo Ser Luck and MPs Ho Geok Choo and Zaqy Mohamad.
