Computer glitch hits DBS
By Chua Hian Hou

A THREE-HOUR computer glitch on Tuesday morning in DBS prevented its customers from making transactions at 70 DBS and POSB branches islandwide.

A DBS spokesman said that only the counters were affected; its ATM network and self-service machines remained operational, so customers could still withdraw and deposit funds.

The bank also allowed customers who needed urgent funds to withdraw money up to their personal withdrawal limit, on a case-by-case basis.

The glitch was fixed by 11am, said the spokesman, adding that it was an isolated incident.
