NO MORE long queues at the polyclinics or difficulties locating Pandemic Preparedness Clinics (PPCs).
At the click of a finger, iPhone users can now locate a clinic near them and view live webcam images of waiting areas in polyclinics.
Two weeks ago, the Health Ministry launched iHealth Sg, an iPhone application which provides a comprehensive guide to all healthcare facilities here.
iPhone owners can simply download this free application and gain access to over 3,000 PPCs, clinics, hospitals, laboratories and nursing homes here.
Besides finding the nearest healthcare provider, they can filter clinics by the services they provide, obtain necessary contact details or do a search of by name, street address or postal code.
The Health Ministry said on Friday: 'In view of the H1N1 situation in Singapore, there are currently more than 500 PPCs available islandwide which are equipped with the necessary resources such as Tamiflu, PPEs, N95 masks to better deal with influenza-like illness.
'To allow members of the public to better locate the nearest PPC to them, iHealth SG has incorporated the complete listings of PPCs and allows users to locate, call and provide direction to the PPC, all via iPhone.
'Members of the public can now locate the nearest PPCs even when they are on-the-move.'
