THE number of people visiting clinics has surged in the past two weeks, driven by a fear that they have caught H1N1.
For example, there's been a 50 per cent increase in those visiting polyclinics to get treatment for acute upper respiratory infections - which include flu - jumping from 10,749 in the last week of June to 15,817 last week.
General practitioners, too, are saying they are seeing greater numbers of people at their clinics.
