THIS year's Night Festival explodes into life with this fiery display of pyrotechnics and acrobatics by a German arts troupe.
The free annual arts and music event, which debuted last year, will be staged around the Bras Basah precinct on Friday and on Saturday and is expected to draw 50,000 people to see 13 performances.
Called The Loop Of Fortune, Action Theatre Pan.Optikum's dramatic 30-minute production is one of the festival highlights. It kicks off at 10.30 on both nights.
The story of a man's trials and tribulations is told in a travelling performance that includes acrobatics, acting, song and fireworks.
It starts at Campus Green at the Singapore Management University, then passes down Stamford Road, and concludes in front of the National Museum.
