DESPITE being a single mother, a 40 year-old woman decided not to abort her baby with Down Syndrome.
The touching story became the inspiration for the song 'There's still me' penned by local lyricist Xiaohan.
And the song can be found in the new album of the same name released by local indie record company Funkie Monkies (FM) Productions.
It is performed and sang by four radio DJs and other FM's artistes.
All royalties earned from the sales of this song will go to the Down Syndrome Association.
'The market for local music is small so we don't expect to raise a lot from the sale of the album,' said producer-composer Eric Ng, 'the main aim is to raise awareness (about Down Syndrome).
Other songs found in this album are mostly unreleased tracks from local band Ang Mo Pais, singer-songwriter Jim Lim and Wu Jia Hui.
