IT IS impossible to please everyone. But by all accounts, this year's arts festival came pretty close to it.

Artsgoers snapped up nearly 40,000 tickets for the 26 ticketed performances, which meant that 92.5 per cent of all seats were filled.

Fourteen productions were sold out, including the Shaolin monks blockbuster Sutra and Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy.
