PUMP prices have gone up again, in the latest of a series of price hikes over the past few months.

Charges for 95- and 98-octane petrol went up by four cents per litre and they now cost $1.767 and $1.87 respectively.

The price for 92-octane fuel remained unchanged, at around $1.637 to $1.687 per litre.

Oil group Shell, which has said it will stop selling 92-octane fuel by the end of the month, led the hike on Monday at around 12.30pm. ExxonMobil followed suit at 4pm.

Caltex and SingaporePetroleum Co (SPC) also moved up their prices on Tuesday.

Since February, the price of octane-95 fuel has gone up by around 20 cents per litre, and octane-98 fuel by more than 15 cents.

The series of increases comes amid a global oil price rise, with a barrel peaking at US$71 (S$103) recently, compared with US$50 in early May.
