This year's Home Team ceremony will be held next monday.
Some 2400 officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, or the Home Team, will be promoted.
The promotion ceremony will be on Monday at Orchard Hotel and Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam will be the guest of honour. Mr Shanmugam will be presenting promotions of superintendent and lieutenant colonel ranks and above.
One of the officers receiving a promotion is Singapore Civil Defence Force officer Major Alvin Tan.
In just 10 years of experience with the force, the disaster assistance rescue team commander receives his lieutenant colonel rank.
This is considered a swift rise through the ranks.
