Two vehicles broken into
By Alessa Pang
A VEHICLE was broken into at Dempsey Road on Wednesday night.

The owner of the car, a woman in her late 30s, had parked it at about 9.15pm before heading off for dinner.

She returned to her vehicle just before 4am and found that the left rear passenger window was smashed in.

Her laptop, valued at about $3000, and a document bag were found to be missing.

Another vehicle break-in occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the Bukit Merah Central sheltered carpark lots.

The victim parked his car at about 1pm before heading out for lunch nearby.

He returned an hour later and drove back to work without noticing anything amiss.

However, upon reaching his destination, the owner of the car discovered his haversack missing.

It contained a gas detector valued at $3000 and two cameras valued at $350 altogether. There was no sign tampering nor was there and breakage.

The Police would like to remind the public to not leave their valuables on display in their vehicles.
