A MOTORCYCLIST died and another suffered serious head injuries in two separate road accidents.
In the first incident, Nazarudin bin Ahmad, 35, a dispatch rider, was travelling on the extreme left lane on Brickland Road towards Choa Chu Kang on Sunday at about 4pm when he tried to overtake another motorcycle.
He then lost control of his vehicle and skidded to the extreme right of the road before slamming into two trees by the road.
He was flung off and sustained serious head injuries, with an open wound. The victim's cracked helmet was found a distance away.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
In the other accident, a motorcyclist travelling along the Ayer Rajah Expressway towards the Tuas Checkpoint lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the centre divider on the road last Friday at about 11 pm.
The 35-year-old Malaysian, who worked as a motorcar spray painter in Singapore, suffered serious head injuries. He was sent to the National University Hospital unconscious and was warded in the intensive care unit.
