IT TOOK a little more than a year, but Jemaah Islamiah terror network leader Mas Selamat Kastari, 48, has finally been captured in Johor. The Malaysian authorities arrested him on a tip-off from their Singapore counterparts and announced his re-capture on Friday.
Authorities revealed Mas Selamat swam across the Straits of Johor using an 'improvised flotation device' in his dash to freedom 'soon after' his escape from the Whitley Detention Centre on Feb 27 last year.
