PESSIMISTS may say this is a dark hour for the arts. Purse strings are being tightened in the credit crunch and more recently, the H1N1 virus is giving people another reason to stay at home.
Big-budget theatre shows with long runs would seem counter-intuitive at this time.
Yet, there were no fewer than six big-budget shows, which cost $400,000 upwards to stage, over the past three months.
