A MAN who grabbed a woman's face and forcefully kissed her on her lips was jailed for three months on Monday.
Borhan Saheni, 52, admitted to outraging the modesty of the 36-year-old pub owner in the city area on Dec 19 last year.
The court heard that the victim was drinking with a woman friend at the bar counter when Borhan, a customer, introduced himself and invited the victim to have a drink at his table. The victim refused.
Suddenly, he grabbed her by the cheeks and pulled her towards him and kissed her.
During a struggle, her right earring came off and fell to the ground.
Borhan returned to his seat and pretended as if nothing had happened.
The victim told an employee to call the police.
Borhan, who has drug convictions, could have been jailed for up to two years and fined for the offence.
