SHARES of Singapore Airlines Ltd, Asia's most profitable carrier, slumped on Monday morning on concern the swine flu outbreak in Mexico and other parts of North America will cause travel cutbacks.
The shares fell as much as 3 per cent to $10.28 and changed hands at $10.32 at 9.17am in Singapore, Bloomberg news reported.
'If this persists, transportation stocks will be affected,' said K. Ajith, an analyst at UOB-Kay Hian Research in Singapore.
