A MAN who fell into the Singapore River early yesterday morning after quarrelling with his girlfriend is still missing.
Evening daily Lianhe Wanbao said the couple, both divorcees and in their 30s, were drinking in a Clarke Quay bar before that. The bar owner said the two had an argument, then left without paying.
The police said they were notified by a member of the public at 5.40am that a man had fallen into the river.
Together with the Singapore Civil Defence Force and Naval Diving Unit, they launched a search at the river until 12.30pm.
