SEVERAL roads will be closed for a sprint triathlon which will take place this Sunday at Changi beach.
The Tribob Singapore Sprint Series 3, organised by Tribob, a specialised triathlon training company, involves a 750m swim followed by a 20km cycle and ends with a 5km run.
From 6am to 12pm on Sunday, Changi Coast Road between Tanah Merah Coast Road and Changi Ferry Road will be closed to vehicular traffic.
Access to Tanah Merah Country Club and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal from the East Coast Parkway (ECP) highway into Changi Coast Road will not be affected. However, motorists will not be able to access Nicoll Drive from Changi Coast Road.
Motorists using ECP to go to Changi Village Road and Nicoll Drive are advised to get onto the Pan-Island expressway, towards Jurong, followed by Tampines expressway, towards Seletar expressway, and exit into Loyang Ave.
Auxiliary police officers will be stationed at affected road junctions to assist motorists and regulate traffic.
