THE President has appointed Mr Foo Chee Hock as Registrar of the Supreme Court and Ms Audrey Lim Yoon Cheng as Deputy Registrar.
Their appointments took effect from Wednesday.
Mr Foo, 49, joined the Supreme Court on May 1, 2001 as Deputy Registrar. He was acting Registrar from April 11 last year till Tuesday.
Throughout his 25-year career with the Legal Service, he had assumed various postings with the Ministry of Law's Appeals Board (Land Acquisition) and the Legal Aid Bureau.
A former district judge, he graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984. In 1989, he received his master's from Queen's College, University of Cambridge. He is married with two children.
Ms Lim, 37, a law graduate from Cambridge University, had previously served as Justices' Law Clerk, and a district judge in the Subordinate Courts. She is married and has two children.
