SINGAPORE said on Sunday it was 'deeply concerned' over North Korea's launch of a long-range rocket.
'We are deeply concerned by this development. We regret that the DPRK (North Korea) has seen fit to take this step,' the foreign ministry said.
'We hope all parties involved will exercise restraint and reduce tensions through dialogue and the six-party talks. A Korean peninsula that is stable and nuclear-free is crucial for regional security and development.'
The rocket launch drew strong condemnation from US President Barack Obama and other US allies. -- AFP
