Singapore neurosurgeon Keith Goh greeting conjoined twins Vani (left) and Veena at the Niloufer Children's Hospital in Hyderabad yesterday.
He has agreed to separate the twins from Andhra Pradesh who were born in 2003
and have a rare condition known as craniopagus, in which sufferers are fused with their twin at the skull.
Dr Goh has operated on other conjoined twins including patients from Nepal and Iran. He and his team will perform the cranial separation surgery for Vani and Veena along with Indian neurosurgeons in Singapore in August.
